SICL joins RASP

SICL announced today it has joined the Riverbed® Authorised Support Partner (RASP) program.

As a member of the program, SICL will deliver a suite of support offerings to its customers.  The RASP program allows SICL to build closer relationships and provide high-value services and support that its customers can leverage to get the full benefit of their Riverbed WAN optimisation deployments.

Riverbed WAN optimisation solutions enable organisations of all sizes to overcome a wide range of IT infrastructure performance bottlenecks, including poor application performance, slow database backups and insufficient bandwidth at remote sites.  By speeding applications between data centers, remote offices and mobile workers, in some cases by up to 100 times, Riverbed Steelhead® appliances eliminate the performance barrier for those looking to adopt a cloud-oriented IT delivery model.

“Joining the RASP program is a natural progression for us”, commented SICL Managing Director Cliff Fox, “SICL has made significant investment in Riverbed technologies over the past five years and has a proven track record of deploying Riverbed in many successful projects in the UK, Europe and globally.  The RASP program accredits our existing support process accordingly”.

To enable its partners to act as an extension of the Riverbed support organisation, Riverbed introduced RASP in 2010; a specialisation program that allows eligible partners to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support services directly to customers. The RASP program is only available to partners that demonstrate a successful track record installing Riverbed solutions, and are able and willing to provide a high standard of 24x7 Level 1 and Level 2 operational support services.

“The partner network program is structured so that everyone wins — our partners, customers and Riverbed.  Through the RASP specialisation program, not only do our partners benefit from being positioned to increase their bottom line, but our customers are working with the industry’s most qualified Riverbed partners to support their IT infrastructure,” said Scott Downie, vice president of worldwide support at Riverbed.  “As we scale our support organisation to include services from our valued partners, it allows Riverbed to focus on our core competencies – providing enterprises with award-winning WAN optimisation solutions that enable them to accomplish strategic IT initiatives, including IT consolidation, cloud computing and virtualisation.”
