The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Annual Recognition Awards celebrate the work of all involved with the charity and SICL was proud to receive the 'Corporate Award 2011' on the evening of Thursday 24th November 2011.
In presenting the award YTV's Gaynor Barnes commended the support of SICL, which has resulted in a six-figure saving for the charity and the other activities to fund-raise including the annual SICL Event and 3 Peaks Challenge.
Managing Director of SICL, Cliff Fox, said "We're very proud to receive this award and recognition and it reflects on all our staff who contribute to the YAA. The YAA is great cause; saving lives, low operational costs and caring for the community in which we live. SICL is very privileged to be associated with the charity."
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a life saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire. It flies seven days a week, 365 days a year, covering a vast landscape that not only includes major cities and motor ways, but also rural and isolated locations.
The charity needs to raise £7200.00 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s Air Ambulances maintained and in the air. Donations and sponsorship are critical to the charity’s continuing service which saves lives!
SICL has been a proud sponsor of Yorkshire Air Ambulance since 2006.
