SICL The Event '11 on Thursday 23rd June 2011 at Tockwith Circuit, York was a straight-six success.
Coinciding with Glastonbury and Wimbledon there was some rain which was expected but luckily it stayed fine for most of the day and the feedback has been the best ever - six years running The Event never disappoints.
The pace set by previous celebrity presenters James May, Vikki Butler-Henderson and Suzi Perry was matched by a tremendous contribution from the ‘White Stig’ Ben Collins who was very, very, FAST but even he met with some stiff competition. Great attendance and business opportunities as usual and the competitive activities were subject to the usual friendly rivalry.
Thanks as ever to Owen and the Britcar Team for bringing the SICL Britcar Ginetta up from Northampton and to the Noble guys and other drivers who made huge contributions. Next year we’re abolishing noise limits so watch this space!
